Take a domestic flight and trek the Gorillas!
Take a domestic flight and fly to Kisoro or Kihihi to trek the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable NP or Mgahinga Gorilla NP. Bwindi (Uganda) has now 4 sites were you can trek the gorillas. (Buhoma, Ruhijja, Rushaga and Nkuringo). All different locations organized independently and located several hours away. When taking a domestic flight to Kihihi you will trek at Buhoma while when flying to Kisoro you will trek at the Nkuringo/Rushaga sectors and Mgahinga Gorilla NP. You can extend your stay and have additional activities including an additional trek.
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) is running a festive season price discount. From 1st December 2020 to 31st March 2021, the following discounts have been offered:
a) 50% discount on park entrance fee for Lake Mburo NP, Queen Elizabeth NP, Kidepo
Valley NP, Murchison Falls NP, Semuliki NP, Toro Semliki Wildlife Reserve, Katonga
Wildlife Reserve, Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve and Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve.
b) 50% discount on birding fees.
c) Reduction on gorilla and chimpanzee tracking fees for all visitors:
- Gorilla permits reduced from USD 700 to USD 400
- Chimpanzee permits reduced from USD 200 to USD 150
This reduction on gorilla and chimpanzee permits will only apply to new purchases between 1st December 2020 and 31st March 2021 and not on reschedules.

Day 01
Arrival at Entebbe
Meet and greet at the Airport by your Magic Safaris guide. You will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe.

Day 02
Transfer to Bwindi - Flight to Kisoro or Kihihi
After breakfast, we shall transfer you back to Entebbe for your domestic flight to Bwindi (Kisoro or Kihihi) depending on availability of gorilla permits.
Your airport transfer this morning is booked with your accommodation, you are expected to be at the airport at least 1 hour before take-off. Your flight to Bwindi will be in a 11-seater Cessna Caravan. Each passenger is allowed a luggage limit of 15 kilos.
On arrival at the airstrip, a representative from your accommodation will be waiting for your transfer to your accommodation. Depending on the time you arrive at your accommodation; you may choose to relax or go for an optional activity.

Day 03
Trek the gorillas in Bwindi or Mgahinga Gorilla NP
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing. A packed lunch and mineral water will be provided. If you have any particular interests during the trekking, speak to your driver/guide who will help arrange this with the park rangers. After briefing, you will be transferred to your starting point.
We encourage you to hire a porter. Porters are members of the community whose main role during the hike is to help you carry your luggage and assist you during the hike whenever needed. By hiring a porter, you are making a valuable contribution to the community.
Bwindi Impenetrable NP is a natural world heritage site. Hikers will love it!
Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It's difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

Bwindi Impenetrable NP has a unique rich and varied ecosystem and has lowland rainforest and afromontane forest. It's considered as one of the most unique and important forests of Africa. UNESCO declared it as a Natural World Heritage site for Humanity for his many values and because it is vital to the survival of many endangered species.

Day 04
Transfer to Entebbe and Departure
If you are staying in Buhoma, you have the option of 3 flights: morning, mid-morning and afternoon. In Kisoro, only 1 flight is available and it departs in the morning.
Your driver/guide will transfer you to the airstrip 1 hour before take-off as advises for your flight to Entebbe.On arrival in Entebbe, you may connect to your departure flight or may be transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe.
The Tour package includes: Return ticket for domestic flight, Airport transfers, accommodation, all meals, plenty of mineral water, the services of a driver-guide, all park and entry fees, all activities as per programme: 1 gorilla trek and if wished some additional activities.
It Excludes: International airline ticket, the domestice flight Kisoro-Entebbe, beverages, tips, visas and personal expenses.
What to bring with you? Money for your personal expenses, outfit with adapted colours for wildlife observation, good walking shoes, raingear, a few long-sleeve shirts, slippers, sweater for cool evenings, sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sun cream, video/photo camera, a 200 mm or longer telepholens is very usefull, reserve batteries, films and a torch.
