This is Kevin Eedy. Lois and I toured Uganda in late Sept. with Pascal and crew. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. Everything went perfect from the moment were picked up at the airport to the minute we were dropped off to go home. All of the staff were very nice and hard working. The tents and vehicles were all top notch too. We saw all the animals we had hoped for and the weather was great. Having hot showers was an unexpected pleasure. If you could make the shower tent a little bigger and put some hooks in it to hang clothes on it would be perfect. Same thing for the bathroom tent. A little bigger and a hook for the flashlight. We all loved the suprise accomadations at Lake Bunyonyi (spelling may not be right).
Having one night in a real room was quite the treat! And the lakeside spot was just great..Very beautiful and peaceful. Regarding the fishing village next to the salt harvesting lake. They did not want their photos taken but they are so poor. Could you work out a deal where we would donate some money ( $5.00 a person?) and be able to take photos. Maybe a boat ride in one of their boats? Some of the people didn't seem to like us being there. We would also have enjoyed spending some time with the local peoples.
On many of our trips to other countries we have noticed that the tour groups tend to keep us away from local places, instead taking us to more westernized stores and restaurants. We would love to travel again with your organization in the future. And if any of your future customers ever would like to speak to us regarding your trip we would be honored to help them with our great experience. Sincerely yours. Kevin
Hi Eric, Kevin was sending this note and I thought I better throw in my 2 cents too. I had a wonderful time. The itinerary is very well thought out. My only regret is we didn't have time to stay longer and do more of the extensions. The gorilla viewing was a once in a lifetime experience for us. If you ever need a reference please feel free to give them our e-mail. Thanks Lois.
