Magic Safaris has offices in Kigali and is monitoring the situation. If there is any change we will inform clients accordingly. Please don't hesiate to submit your questions.

Rwanda Security update - 01 November 2008 - Situation DR Congo - Kivu region.
1. We would like to stress that this situation in the Kivu region (DR Congo) is not new and is lasting for many years. The incidents are on the Congo territory and like in the past years this doesn't necessary affect Rwanda Tourism. Rwanda and Uganda have taken the necessary steps to protect their borders and National Parks.
2. Till date there are no incidents reported with the Congo border and all safaris are proceeding normally.
3. Rwanda Tourism Office has published the following advice on their web site:
The Rwanda Office of Tourism and National Parks (ORTPN) would like to inform the general public and all those intending to visit Rwanda that Volcanoes National Park is safe to visit.

4. We will continue to follow up the situation closely.

Rwanda Security Update - 16 June 2006
Travel to all areas of Rwanda is proceeding normally and security remains stable. Visitors to the main national parks - Parc National des Volcans, Akagera and Nyungwe have been increasing steadily. Gorilla tracking by international travellers in Parc National des Volcans continues normally.
The security situation in neighbouring Eastern DRC appears to be stable and has no direct impact on Rwanda security. Magic Safaris does not currently take clients to Eastern DRC except to Goma city.
