How much money do I have to carry with me on safari?
You need only to cover your personal expenses (drinks, gifts, tips, etc.) By experience, we estimate this amount at $ 100 or € 80 per person for a 12 days safari. This is only an average and depends on the personal appreciation of each participant. Your tour leader or you driver-guide will advise you to change this amount on your arrival at Entebbe airport. There is no obligation but once you are on safari the opportunities to change some money will be limited and the rates might be more expensive when changing at lodges.
Important - Accepted US Dollars in Uganda!
Be informed that only US Dollars with year 2000 and above are accepted in Ugandan forex bureau.
